I have updated my cygwin environment to all the latest packages in an
attempt to get the metakit sources to compile so that I can install the
Python bindings for use under cygwin.
I am getting the following linking error:
g++ -g -O2 -fPIC -I./../include -I./../src -I. -o demo.exe \
./../demos/demo.cpp libmk4.so -lpthread
./../demos/demo.cpp:1: warning: -fPIC ignored for target (all code is
position independent)
collect2: ld terminated with signal 11 [Segmentation fault], core dumped
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-cygwin/3.4.4/../../../../i686-pc-cygwin/bin/ld: BFD
2.16.91 20050610 assertion fail
/netrel/src/binutils-20050610-1/bfd/cofflink.c:1926
make: *** [demo] Error 1
I have been searching for an answer for a while now and thought that the
mailing list might be able to help me figure out what is going wrong.
Thank you for your time
