Hello Andreas, Unfortunately, I still don't have a good guess as to what is going on with the "InnoDB: Unable to lock ./ibdata1, error: 11" EAGAIN issue, but I have not yet given up on investigating with the data we already have. However, I hope to have a release of Connector/MXJ available soon (possibly as early as Monday May 17th) which will include improved logging, as well as more current binaries. If we still don't have a solution by then, perhaps it would be worth a try? Maybe the newer mysqld binaries wouldn't have the same locking issue or perhaps the improved logging in the Connector/MXJ java wrapper will be more informative. There is one catch: the default binaries will be MySQL version 5.0 ... would 5.0 binaries work for you? If not, I could put together a package with the most current 4.1 binaries for you.
