This is sadly true. The MySQL 5.0.2 server has the issue that the SHOW 
PROCEDURE STATUS command crashes the server process. You can also do 
this from the commmand line. We did not detect this until the release 
was already out.

The best solution at the moment is to use 5.0.1 which does not suffer 
from this issue. The fix will be in 5.0.3 which should be out, soon.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. We have now added special server tests 
using the GUI tools to ensure that such obvious issues are detected 
during the testing phase.
