Hi Raphael,

I would ask you to update to MySQL Server 4.1.9 since a charset issue 
has been fixed in that release.

QB always uses UTF8 internally, so you do not have to select a charset 
manually. But that means that you have to take care that all your tables 
do use the correct charset and collation. You can adjust this in the 
table editor on the second tab sheet. And, you can also set an 
individual charset for each column of a table.
