Hi If you want to simply start/stop the server, you can use the System Preferences pane that's supplied with the server itself. You can also download a newer version of it, that has been modified to work with Mac OS X 10.4 from: ftp://support.mysql.com/pub/mysql/download/MySQL.prefPane.20050524.zip Uncompress and double-click in the prefPane file.
