juser@dhcp85:~$ mysql-workbench
/usr/local/bin/mysql-workbench-bin: error while loading shared libraries:
liblua5.1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

juser@dhcp85:~$ sudo apt-get install liblua5.1-0 libzip1 libglitz-glx1

That got it up, but trying to edit a table (like to add some fields)
/usr/local/bin/mysql-workbench: line 13: 16429 Segmentation fault

I can live with the segfault - it's an alpha version. having to research what
dependencies are needed is asking a bit much. (I would have given up had it not
been for someone in IRC giving me the list of packages I needed.)

So, can the next release be packaged as a .deb? Ideally host a repo so that
updates will roll into apt-get update, but even just being able to do
sudo gdebi mysql-workbench-5.1.1-alpha-ubuntu8-i386.deb
is a step in the right direction.

I would hope both .deb and repo is on the todo list anyway, and I think the
sooner it is done the better. it will lower the barrier, so more people will
try it more often.
