HI, I need a requirement to integrate Mysql Enterprise Monitor with BMC for ticketing purpose. So we are exploring the options. Does anybody has built any solution to integrate with BMC. We are planning to use Mysql 5.1 and any help in this is appreciated. The options that we are thinking are : Method1: The First option for integration is sending SNMP traps. BEM can be configured to receive SNMP traps from multiple sources. To make the SNMP trap more understandable it is recommended to provide the Management Information Base (MIB) file of the SNMP trap sender to decode the traps slots. Once the alerts occurred in BEM , as per the rules/policy defined in BEM the event can be sent to Remedy service desk for generating a incident ticket via IBRSD adaptor. Method 2 : The Second method is sending events using msend utility. The application should support execution of scripts (msend will be an integrated part of these scripts) whenever it receives an event and map the application event slot values to slot values of BMC Event Manager, also forward the events to BEM using msend. Once the alerts occurred in BEM , as per the rules/policy defined in BEM the event can be sent to Remedy service desk for generating a incident ticket via IBRSD adaptor.
