The MySQL GRANT statement, among other things, restricts the hosts from which a client can connect. Whatever user name you are logging in with from that other machine may not have the right to access the server from that other machine. Read about the GRANT statement in the MySQL manual. However, I am unable to connect to the same database from other PC. The error message is " *Request returned with SQL_ERROR*." And the details found from the diagnostics is *"Host 'XYBASE SABA" is not allowed to connect to this MySQL Server*". For your information, 'XYBASE SABA' is the remote machine name. Please advice.
