RE: Views accessed as table in MS Access

Interesting.  I also tried using views in Access, and found that it only
gives data from the first table specified.  However, when I tried accessing
the same view from OpenOffice using ODBC, it worked fine.  Are there any
other ways we can find out if this is a MyODBC error or Access/MSJET?

Yes. The use of views and stored procedures is not yet stable and is
unsupported.

No. I still can't get any action from the latest MyODBC ( v5 ) release.

Well good luck then, but if you're in a hurry, I'd do something dodgy like
create a temporary table, insert stuff from your view to the temporary
table, link MS Access to that temporary table ( there are some code snippets
in the MyODBC list that should you how to do this in VB ), and then delete
the MS Access link when you're done ( and delete the temporary table ). You
can write a function that does this, and call it
view_my_view() or something :)
