I am using the MySQL ODBC driver version 3.51 to export data from MySQL
version 3.23 to SQL Server 2005 and am having problems with text fields
with an empty string being returned with an 'x'. I have done a lot of
searching and have not found anyone else that seems to have this
problem, so I'm assuming I must have a setting wrong in my driver. I've
gone in to the driver settings and checked/unchecked any settings that I
thought could be related, but each time the same results were returned.
I would appreciate any help you could provide.

I'm using the Openquery function in SQL Server to execute the query.

Below is my very simple select query which when Field2 and Field3
actually contain an empty space, but is being returned as an x:

SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY(LinkedServer, 'SELECT Field2, Field3

                        FROM MySQLTable WHERE Field1 = 49')

Thanks,
