I have problem using Mysql

Dear sir or mam

I'm using mysql as my sql server. I have installed mysql server,mycc and
myodbc on my machine. When I connect to my database through myquery browser
it will open my database and it shows that mysql server is running but I
cannot connect to my database through any application like Mycc,Delphi and
so  on.

Please advise me what my problem is.
