SQLBindParameter with BLOB data and character set

Hello All,
I've been having a problem with SQLBindParameter when using BLOB data 
when  the data connection is defined with mixed character set.

The function returns a parameter like: '\0$'
However the character set used for the connection changes the way the 
'$' is stored and different users with different character set 
definition will get different field values.

Any solution?
