error in MAKE of mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.24r1071

I’ve installed MySQL 5.0.56 server, unixODBC 2.2.12

 

I configured myodbc using

 

./configure --prefix=/opt/narus/myodbc --with-unixODBC=/opt/narus/unixodbc --with-mysql-path=/opt/narus/mysql --disable-gui

 

Then when I do a make, I’m getting the following error

 

 

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmysqlclient_r

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make[2]: *** [libmyodbc3_r.la] Error 1

make[2]: Leaving directory `/ramki/mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.24r1071/driver'

make[1]: *** [all] Error 2

make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

 

 

Need help on this.
