Good Day All, I hope i have the right place, can someone tell me what is the relation between MySQL and Tomcat in relation to connection pools? we have been monitoring our mysql connections and it opens loads of connections and then it goes up to 90 and then drops again to 20isg after about and hour. then i am not too sure on the below and exactly how it works. if Threads_cached is set to 50 and it shows 0 does that mean there is no more cachable threads or does the 0 mean there has been no threads cached yet? | Threads_cached | 0 | now the next thing that is bowling me over is that threads connected is 3, and threads created is a 146 but there is only 1 threads running. | Threads_connected | 3 | | Threads_created | 146 | | Threads_running | 1 | I have read up on a couple of places but it is still getting me a bit.
