I assume you have only one MySQL server and several clients? Since some clients seem to be working OK we can probably assume that the server is configured correctly. The problem is, what is different about the clients that don't work? The error message implies that MySQL has found the right grant to apply so it has the user name correct. The only other things that could be wrong I think are the IP address of the client not matching (I think you have checked that) and the password. Then he said 'Lot's of luck, hope you find the answer' as he left the cubical of the user I was trying to connect. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.
