I hate to say, but doying a test that way is not a good way to check
the performance, there are many variables involved, and there are
particular diferences between oracle and mysql, its not that simple to
compare them.

As once I saw in the Internet:
"I use both MySQL and Oracle. MySQL is like a fighter jet - sleek,
fast, powerful. It carries a smaller payload but packs a wonderful
punch and is excellent for analyzing Taliban data. Oracle is like a
big B-52 bomber. Ancient, not very pretty, and lumbering, it carries
such a big payload that even Osama cannot hide from its powerful
data-crunching abilities."

Check this also:

And from another point of view (not perfornance):

So, Oracle is good, MySQL is good, you can tune them for your specific
needs and then decided wich you'll use, but you see, there are
structural diferences, like LICENSES (oh yeah, that is a good point),
constant improvement (MySQL evolves so fast I just can't upgrade them
all, I wait for like 2 or 3 versions to do so), and so much others to
evaluate.
