Win32 Server Quits Unexpectedly

Well this is a problem that i have had for a while, where if i access the stored procedures from a win32 mysql server using SQLyog the server quits unexpectedly. This also happens with the MYSQL administrator but not with some client tools like EngInSite MySQL Client. Every time this happened i just copied the files to a new mysql installation and all worked fine. After months of this happeneing i decided to investigate. It seems that somehow in the mysql.procs table when im making my stored procedures, "something" happens and at times the db field enters as a blank (empty string, not null). try it. make a database with a table and a simple stored procedure, then go into the proc table and remove the data in the db field then use sqlyog to access the procs of your database. it just quits!
