MySQL 5.0.0-alpha-max-debug upgrade...???

I've been running this version of mysql on my w2k3 server since it was
released without ANY problems and now want to upgrade to the latest stable
release of ver5. Would anyone know of any gotchas that can arise from this?
I have a few joomla website databases loaded on this server and would hate
to loose them.
Any recommendations or directions on how best to proceed is appreciated.
