Hi naigi, I can see all the drives and directories from my 2000 server in my client machine including the drive in which oracle is installed so I suppose there is no problem in networking. I ping the ip and not the server name. I haven't yet tried to ping by the name of the server. I just however still want to know if a domain is really needed for the server to serve the database.
