If your example (*.txt) is what you are trying to read outside of oracle via PL/SQL I don't know if you can do this. You may want to investigate SQL Loader utility. -----Original Message----- From: David, Romeo B. I am working on an EDI situation, and I need PL/Sql to read data from a file (.txt for example) which is external to the Oracle databases. The Pl/Sql would then INSERT into the tables. I can't figure out how to get this to work, I keep getting a 'table not found' error. Any ideas?
