How to search on detail form?

First I would like to thank for your concerning of this message. I am a 
new oracle developer, and I need a detail instruction.
I have a master-detail form which looks like an email format. The content 
of letter is the master block; Author/Addressee/cc are detail blocks. I 
would like to be able to search the letter by entering any name on the 
detail blocks.
