There are 3 ways to move the scroll bar
1) grab the slider
2)click in the slider tray
3) click on the end arrows

I had a problem with Toad a long time ago where moving a slider would cause
it to freeze but only if one of the above. I don't recall which one. The
other ways of moving the same slider did not cause a freeze. You might want
to experiment.
