As far as I know, when evaluating various versions of a SQL statement within SQL*Optimizer, you need to leave your computer running. What would be awesome would be if there was a way for SQL*Optimizer to submit the optimizing task to Oracle instance as a job, and record the results in a TOAD table of some sort that the client could read back the results of later. Is this possible?
