The problem is there are tasks (commonly Google update tasks) which have a zero value for their scheduled time.  The code wasn't expecting that. You should be able to either alter the schedule for those via Windows, remove them (like I did, but I'm rather cranky and don't like updates firing all over the place constantly), or upgrade to a later version of Toad which has the problem fixed.

Hi, I've got the problem back. I've attached a screen shot of the task scheduler. I can't see any dodgy looking dates in there. I also had a problem the other day when if I clicked the column heading in the results to sort. It did the sort but returned the entire table, ignoring the where statements. If I put a order by xxx desc in the statement then it ordered it correctly. eg a select * from TABLE where COLUMN1 = 1 would return 10 results out of a 1000 line table, clicking the heading of COLUMN2 to sort would return all 1000 rows sorted on COLUMN2. This has stopped happening and I remember it doing it shortly before I had the export error last time. Thanks Adam

Hi Adam- When this occurs again, please open Utilities > Task Scheduler and send me a screen shot. You can erase anything which may be construed as confidential, I just want to see the Schedule dates. If any of the Schedule dates look funky, delete or reschedule that item. I believe that's the source of your problem. Mark

If you haven't set up anything in the Automation Designer, I think you'll be able to solve this by going to your User Files folder and deleting ToadActions.dat (with Toad not running). Doing this will delete any actions/apps you've set up though.

Adam, Is your task scheduler service running? If not, does starting it and rebooting your PC make the problem go away? I know you aren't scheduling anything here, but some code is firing that has to do with scheduling. Looks like it is trying to determine the start date of your computer and coming back with all zeros. -John

I've had problems with Toad reporting exceptions in one of the 9i Oracle DLLs when I query DBMS_SCHEDULED_JOBS in a 10g database with a 9i client. Toad 10.5 does Unicode, Oracle 9i client doesn't. Does your database have a unicode characterset? How about NLS_LANG on the client - does it match? More questions that answers I'm afraid, this is quite puzzling. All I want to do is copy the results to an excel sheet which I can do with cut and paste but it doesn't copy the column headings, do you know of a work around? What do you get if you select min(date_column) from (your query here); ? Hi, When I try and export a results table by clicking the export dataset option after right clicking the results table I get the following error: 00.00.0000 00:00 is not a valid date and time It started doing it before and I had to uninstall and reinstall to clear it. It has worked fine for a few months but now its back. Any ideas that avoid the need to go through the trouble of uninstalling all over again? Adam
