Hi Pete,


1)      In the main menu, go to database -> spool sql -> spool to screen.  Then make your connection, and you will see the full connect string that we send to Oracle (minus the password).  If something looks off, let me know.

2)      This sounds familiar, and I am fairly certain it was fixed early on in the current beta cycle.  I tried it in the current beta and it seems to work fine there.

Hi--not sure if anyone's brought these out yet, so here goes.

1) I switched to using direct connect instead of TNS. When trying to use the "new connection" drop-down list (the arrow next to the blue plus icon), it tells me, "ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor". Yet I can connect fine in the connection window. It's like it doesn't remember everything about the connection the last time I used it.

2) I added a function to an existing package, compiled both spec and body in the editor window, and switched to schema browser to run a quick test. In the packages tab, the spec is expanded out, but doesn't show the new function under the "local subprograms" folder icon. (The body, however, does show it when expanded.) Pressing the "refresh all objects" left arrow doesn't work. Recompiling and refreshing doesn't work. Yet I can see the new function in the code itself in the right panel when I bring up the spec there.
