Yep, not my issue (but good advice), I can select from the table, I can even get the pick list for the table in the SE, it seems be be related only to the F4 Describe operation.  I seem to remember this being an issue some time ago with the beta but it was fixed - it appears to be back.

And its really annoying because all of our tables are accessed via public synonyms - code in one schema, tables in another.
