Bert,

The file is not read-only and I'm running as the owner of the data base object, so that's not a problem. The thing is, the Execute green arrow button is grayed out - I can't figure out how to un-gray it. I still have TOAD 11.0 on my pc and when I use that version, I don't have any problem.

Thanks for your help,
Mark

Some dumb questions. Is the file attributes marked as read only? Is the database object referenced not granted proper privs? I’m just looking for other external things that could trigger such behavior…..

In Toad 11.5, the Execute/compile toolbar button is grayed out and the hot key (F9) does not work when I'm in the editor. I have tried all the available "desktop" options (PL/SQL, SQL). I did not have any problem with this in 11.0.
