Hi Michael

I sent you the files.

Fyi: It's not only me having this problem: a coworker sent me this issue.

Doing this I still see focus going to the editor. I tried closing the not found message with both ESC and Enter and in both instances the last found match remains selected and the caret is flashing on the last char of the match. Navigation keys move the caret, typing inserts text, etc. I tried a few different search options too including search from caret and entire scope as well as forward and backward searching. You can zip and send me your user files offline and I will take a peek. Perhaps it's something there like desktop layout.

Hi Michael

* Enter text in the editor

* Press ctrl-f, enter search key

*         Search (enter)

*         Close search window (esc)

* Search again by using F3 until you get the "not found" message box

* Press esc: now the focus is not in the editor

Now you can easily repeat it: just repeat the last two lines.

Hope you can get it

Patrik

What exactly are you seeing? The find dialog has two modes of operation, stay on top or modal. Here's what I'm seeing. When stay on top is checked and I get the not found message focus returns to the find dialog to the previously active control. When stay on top is unchecked and the message is shown focus returns to the editor.

After searching in the editor and the message box "Search string '...' not found", can you please set the focus back to the editor.

Thanks,
Patrik
