It's been a few hours and you haven't produced a bug for Toad and he's getting hungry.  You can create one.
Opening the About window and typing 'bug' will create a fake bug. It's how we determine if the error logging software has been enabled in Toad.

“Many customers do not know Oracle very well and do not realize (even though documented) that users must have the Oracle client software installed and they must create Oracle client config files.

1.       “One tip that I think is so easy to miss because  no one knows it’s there - the Toad installer…offers the option to install the Oracle instant client.

“Since many Toad users (don’t know) about Oracle setup & connection for their PC, this is a great feature – it can help many pass the first of two major hurdles: need an oracle client and then need aliases in tnsnames file.”

2.       AKA the “Getting Started” guide, “the ‘Beginner’s Guide to Using Toad’<http://toadfororacle.com/entry.jspa?categoryID=391&externalID=4261> is the best doc I have seen for getting toad and oracle newbies off the ground and running.”

Q: Due to Microsoft’s inability to search .sql files, we save our script as .txt. The problem with this is when we open a .txt file in Toad, we lose the key word color coding. Is there a way to see this for .txt files as well as .sql?
A: Right-click in Editor and choose "Configure Editor Tab Styles..." and remove ",TXT" from the Text style and add ",TXT" to the SQL style (without the double-quotes). This will load .txt files into the SQL tab.

Title: How do you navigate around a grid with arrow keys after editing a value?
Problem Description: Trying to navigate around the data grid and edit values doesn't seem to work properly. The arrow buttons can't be used to navigate around after editing some values. Other times the arrow keys can be used. At this point, the mouse needs to be used to point to another cell.
Resolution: Arrow keys can be used to navigate around a data grid. Once you enter into cell edit mode (i.e. you have a cell highlighted and you change the value, you are in cell edit mode) the arrow keys only apply within that cell. To get out of this cell edit mode, use the tab key to tab into the cell on the right. This will take you out of that mode and the arrow keys can be used again to navigate around the grid till the next time you enter into cell edit mode.
Additional Information

Note that View | Toad Options | Data Grids | Visual has two tab options. Please enable both "Tab" and "Tab through" options so that they can be used to tab around the data grid.
