Subject: [toad] Tiny (but annoying) Editor Bug

I've encountered a bug in the Toad editor that drives me nuts, and I was wondering if others have noticed it, or at least can replicate the behavior.

I generally avoid mouse use as much as possible. I frequently will select text in the editor by holding down the [Shift] key, and then using the arrow and/or [Page Up]/[Page Down] keys. Sometimes, Toad does not select any text on the first press of one of those keys. It begins selecting the text on all subsequent pressing of those keys.

One way that I know I can replicate the behavior is following these steps:

1) Open a SQL editor window

2) Type "SELECT *", and then hit [Enter]

3) Type "FROM TABLE_NAME", and then hit [Enter]

4) Type "WHERE TABLE_ID = 1"

5) Hold down the [Shift] key, and then hit the Up Arrow twice

When I follow these steps, the editor selects text the second time I hit the Up Arrow, but not the first time.

Thanks for listening to my complaining!

Sean
