You do NOT directly grant execute to sys.dbms_debug - there is a built in O=
racle priv that you grant:

grant debug connect session to user;

This works the same no matter whose PL/SQL debugger you use - this is an Or=
acle thing, not a toad thing.

I have two schemas in the same database instance. One of the schemas has ac=
cess to all bebug options under the 'Debug' menu, the debug symbol to toggl=
e the debug option on/off on the tool bar and the Execute PL/SQL w/ Debugge=
r option. But the other schema has no debug options under the 'Debug' menu,=
 the debug symbol to turn the debug option on/off on the tool bar is grayed=
 out and the Execute PL/SQL w/ Debugger option is also grayed out.

All the privileges for both users are identical. I have verified that the D=
BMS_DEBUG package in the sys schema is valid. The Toad option settings in D=
ebugger and Execute/Compile for both users are about the same. Our DBA told=
 me that both users have been granted the 'execute' permission on sys.dbms_=
debug.

What am I missing? If both users are granted to access sys.dbms_debug and b=
oth have the same debug options setting, why one user has the debug privile=
ges but not the other???

Any help, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
