Where exactly did you send it? CPAN has some mailing issues, especially when
using their bug tracker.

Verified and fixed. This is probably related to the fact that the
server can now return multi-line error messages (e.g. the HINT directive),
and we never tweaked things to leave all newlines except the last one.

Thanks for the report: this will be part of 1.49, which will be released
sometime this week.
