Failed to import 1.1 GB dump file

Hi, I have a production database on Linux box, it runs perfectly. I have tried to import data to my laptop (Xp Pro, Postgresql 8 beta 4) - not successfull. Psql hangs by import somewhere. I can give you all scripts. Would it be usefull ?
