Are you a database expert? Are you passionate about building a world-class database that supports an international mobile community? You will need expertise with database internals, exceptional software engineering skills, proficiency with agile development methodologies, and the ability to work under relentless pressure. Responsibilities: - Design, improve and implement our core database infrastructure - Formulate database techniques to support massive scalability and stability - Resolve complex issues that improves system availability, reliability, and performance Qualifications: - BS or higher degree in relevant science or technical field - Significant software development experience - Experience implementing database internals - Experience with schema design and SQL development - Strong problem solving and communication skills Desired Skills: - PostgreSQL software development experience - Django/Python, Ruby on Rails or PHP software development experience is a plus - ASP.NET software development experience is a plus - Experience building a high-performance large-scale database platform - Experience with agile software development, and short release cycles Opportunity: - Minimum 6 month 1099 agreement - Project based rate negotiable based on experience - Opportunity for full-time employment after completion of successful project - Equity-earning opportunity in Private Equity funded pre-IPO company Email me directly with your resume and for more information...
