EnterpriseDB, the Enterprise PostgreSQL Company, is seeking a talented
and experienced database architect to join our expanding global
development team.  This is a "work from anywhere" position involving
very limited travel, primarily for conferences and occasional
meetings.  Work with a talented group of engineers at a growing
company and with the PostgreSQL community!

Specific job responsibilities include:

- Writing and maintaining backend database code for EnterpriseDB's
Postgres Plus Advanced Server and PostgreSQL.
- Development of new features to meet needs articulated by our sales
team and customers.
- Maintenance of existing code base, including code merges,
refactoring, and bug fixing.
- Reviewing and testing patches written by other team members; and
mentoring other engineers.

A qualified candidate will have the following;

- At least 5 years of recent C programming experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a PostgreSQL user.
- PostgreSQL and database internals knowledge highly desirable but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- A high level of comfort with remote work, including proactive use of
IM and voice chat as daily tools for collaboration.  Previous remote
work experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for getting things right.
- Knowledge of git is a plus.
- Previous involvement with the PostgreSQL community or another open
source community is a plus.
