--PostgreSQL database developer/architect--

-Main Responsibilities:-

· Designing and implementation of high-loaded, high available solutions based on PostgreSQL including connection pools, replication, sharding, etc;

· Consulting of application developers and system administrators;

· Writing functions in the database layer using SQL, PL/pgSQL, PL/Python;

· Problem determination, performance optimization in database work;

· Maintaining of project documentation.


-Required Technical Skills:-

· 3 + years of experience as PostgreSQL database administrator/developer;

· Knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL;

· Experience with Linux-like systems;

· Understanding of virtualization basics (VMware, VirtualBox);

· Experience with software versioning control systems;

· Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Visio;

· Higher technical education;

· Strong communications skills, earning ability.


-Additional Skills:-

· Experience with NoSQL databases;

· Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash);

· Understanding of Continuous Integration practice;

· Understanding of J2EE-application servers (JBoss, IBM Websphere AS, Oracle Weblogic Server);

· Experience with Oracle DB as the developer or administrator.
