For our office in Diegem we are currently looking for a:

PostgreSQL Database Administrator (m/f)

Description
As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the databases of EURid.
You will work closely with the Development and SysAdmin teams to support business goals.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include

-          Creating, managing and maintaining internal development, testing and production databases

-          Contributing to the evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure

-          Ensuring proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning and reporting in the production environment

-          Developing processes, tools, and documentation in support of production operations and DR procedures

-          Providing technical advice and guidance to project team members and internal and external customers

-          Automating Operations

Profile

-          Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent by experience

-          More than 3 years relevant work experience as a PostgreSQL Database administrator

-          PostgreSQL Database administration and support experience including backup and recovery, replication, clustering, performance tuning, and monitoring

-          Experience providing guidance on systems architecture, data model, and SQL query reviews as needed

-          Experience with Linux (Redhat, Centos) and shell/python scripting

-          Experience with other DBs like MySql, Oracle is a plus

-          Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Riak) is a plus

-          Customer and service-minded

-          Team-worker, but able to work independently

-          You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French
