Can't connect to postgresql using php

Hello Everyone, I am new to apache, postgresql, and php but i manage to installed it in my winxp laptop. My php and apache are working and i can connect to mysql database. However, i can't connect to postgresql. Please help, need it badly...Thank in advanced.
