I looked at that URL, and improved main.c so your changes will no longer
be required there.  We are talking about the $CC to $CXX change in
another thread.  I am interested in the reason for all your changes to
dfmgr.c and all files listed after that at the URL, e.g initdb.c and the
makefiles.
