How I got around it for the moment is to create a name-version directory 
in /usr/lib using the --with-extra-libs option in /bin/conf. I then 
moved the so-called offending .so files to that directory along with .la 
files. Some of these files and libs have to stay in /usr/lib, such as 
the db drivers. I have attached the current spec file. It's rude and 
crude, needs polishing but does work. I've also attached the current 
output of rpmlint. Attachments in tar/bzip
