Our situation was that we had backups of our RRDs from a pnp4nagios setup and had to perform a disaster recovery in two steps: 1. Get the monitoring system started again (which then started gathering new data into new RRDs) 2. Get the historical data back from backup. I wanted to minimize the time that we lost data for and thus wanted to merge the data from both RRDs into a new one. I found merge-rrds which wasn't quite what I needed so I adapted it and if anybody has a similar need you can find my shot here: https://bitbucket.org/ctheune/rrdmerge/overview Comments and criticism welcome, Christian --=20 Christian Theune =B7 [email protected] gocept gmbh & co. kg =B7 forsterstra=DFe 29 =B7 06112 halle (saale) =B7 g= ermany http://gocept.com =B7 tel +49 345 1229889 0 =B7 fax +49 345 1229889 1 Zope and Plone consulting, development, hosting, operations _______________________________________________ rrd-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.oetiker.ch/cgi-bin/listinfo/rrd-developers ---1463760128-1050024656-1306832309=:27671 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ rrd-announce mailing list [email protected] https://lists.oetiker.ch/cgi-bin/listinfo/rrd-announce ---1463760128-1050024656-1306832309=:27671--
