Here in New Zealand, the GMT+12/13 timezone can cause a few explanations to be necessary when rolling up into days on a GMT boundary rather than local time boundary.  

The other useful thing about this idea is that it would allow for true calendar-month total/average processing, rather than 30-day groups.
