RE: SAPDB not competitive due to neglect of Win32 drivers

I've considered it in the past and even started working on it.  Frankly, the
low SAPDB packet-assembly stuff in the driver was too much for me.  Talking
to the SAPDB XServer requires a lot of "network packet building" that was
just too difficult for me (ran out of time).

A hard-core Java programmer (who has done java network programming and
bit/byte-level work) is what such a C# dotnet driver project needs.  That
isn't me.

Frankly, my business is keeping me too busy.  Aren't there supposed to be
people out there who are underemployed and wanting to learn :)

Recently I have had to recommend commercial products over SAPDB and it bugs
me.  The product has huge potential but a number of "edge" issues causes it
to not take on the market share it deserves.  From my perspective it is
still unknown and unpopular product.  I hope I'm not the only one who wants
to see it actually grow and take off!

Drivers are important, they can make or break a product.  For most people
using a product, the driver determines their whole perspective.  It can also
have a often overlooked impact on performance and "perceived" stability.

Then why you are not became the first person to invent c# drivers for sapdb,
and set the project base on GNU License, that will help more people and
help open source community. (:- )
