Other tools with this capability may well > exist. SAP uses a homegrown documentation system, which has it's advantages, especially for the translators. But there are only two kinds of output possible: - Word (and exporting several Word documents and feeding them to Adobe was the manual work I was referring to). Besides, interdocument links are not supported - HTML (and the Open Source tools to translate HTML to PDF gave unsatisfactory results on last try).
