After some communication outside this list, it was found out:

Yes, 7.3.0.33 was registered, but the database was never brought to
online/warm-state with this version.
The version last used was a much older one (around 7.3.0.8).

Because some internal migrations done between .08 and .25,
which are done when database is brought into warm/online-state
with any 7.3-version >= .25 and which are needed before one
can migrate to 7.4.3.xy, the 7.4.3-version said (ok, in a hard to
understand way): no, the database I see is not in a state I need.

==>> for all of the list-members: assure that you use new-versions
in warm/online-state before using even newer versions, especially
if  jumping from 7.3 to 7.4.
