I run SAPDB 7.4.3.25 on RH9, though, and don't have any such problems. Perhaps that's because I don't use RedHat's kernel, but a stock 2.4.21 from ftp.kernel.org. I'm not sure if RedHat's changes are in the kernel or libc (or both). - Torsten
