SAPDB with Content server upgrade

Hi..
        I'm doing a sap content server upgrade needed for KW 6.0 
installation, i already upgrade the sapdb to 7.3 i can check it if i go 
into the database manager.. the version will showed me version 7.3. But 
when i'm running the SAP content server installation it will prompt me 
that i have sapdb 7.2.2 and i need to uninstall the db before i can 
continue with the installation.
I'm confuse,,, if i answer yes.,. my current database contens will be lost 
? 
I wonder what is went wrong ?
