I cannot confirm the recommendation in that link. We are using DBI 1.32 
DBD-ODBC 1.01 linked to unixODBC 2.2.3. Our cache hitrate is constantly 
at 99%. (SAP-DB 7.4.3, Redhat 7.3, CACHE-SIZE=20000)
