Could you tell us what is taking so long?
I think that you've got problem with connecting
to your instance and after that your query is
executed very fast - check if you have your server
registered in your DNS. (look in the archives of this list).

Hi,

I have tried SAP DB for use in Windows OS. Using Visual Basic as the front
end. While querying from sap db I took almost more than 40 seconds waiting
for 8 records coming from just one table with 5 columns.

My SAP DB database size is initialized as 20MB. I tried the same with SQL
Server which gives me the result of less than one second, this is the same
in Access.

I already tried activating indexes but still nothing has changed.
