Here's what I get:

[root@web ~]# strace -e connect isql -v db01 $USER $PASS

(It's the same whether I use db01 or db01-2)
And here's what I get w/ the same strace on tsql, which connects
successfully:

[root@web ~]# strace -e connect tsql -S db01 -U $USER -P $PASS
